This week, music’s brightest stars showed up dressed to impressed for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. Conforming to the typically exaggerated and overly harsh attitude that post-award show reviews often share, The Huffington Post has issued a brutal critique of the night’s celebration and performances.
Shining through their cynicism, however, is a glimmer of praise where the article hails ‘Belle Isle’ by MoZella as one of the year’s best albums. Luke Crampton writes, “…my selections for the two best albums of the year were: ‘Love Travels’ by Angel Taylor and ‘Belle Isle’ by MoZella…What both albums have in common are: real talent, real craft, real performance, real emotion, real songwriting — real music.”
While we certainly can’t endorse such a vicious attack on the industry as a whole, we couldn’t agree more about the talent that MoZella showcases on this amazing release.

Tanlines are no strangers to remixes. Over the past year, they have remixed tracks from Au Revoir Simone, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Tough Alliance, Glasser, and most recently, Solid Ground. The Brooklyn production duo are now gearing up for the release of their new Settings EP, which is due out March 9th on True Panther.
The first single, “Real Life” (now available on iTunes) is a tropical jam, packed with complex percussion and haunting chants, akin to the group’s best work. A Memory Tapes remix of “Real Life” has surfaced, which will reportedly be included on the EP. The Memory Tapes remix remains true to the upbeat pulse of the original track, yet adds tender synths to this bouncy single.

W.E.C.L. is happy to bring you new music from L.A. roots rockers Rumspringa, fresh out of the studio. The band worked with Worlds End producer Manny Nieto to put together this engaging collection of hypnotic, blues-heavy songs for their forthcoming album.
While each track takes on its own vibe, as a whole, the new album deconstructs everything that we’ve come to expect from guitar-drums duos in the past, replacing these expectations with solid grooves that define Rumspringa’s Americana style.
