Apache Beat To Release Debut Album October 5th

After sharing stages with some of music’s most original bands, from Gossip to Crystal Castles, New York City’s Apache Beat has finally completed their debut album.

Last Chants is set to be released on October 5th and features guest work from The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture, and Lightspeed Champion.

Apache Beat’s ability to create songs that unveil “…escalating drama and aggression” to “mutating melodies and synth drones” have attracted the attention of Pitchfork and Nylon’s music gurus for years.  It is no surprise then, that Vulture and Stereogum have nothing but praise for their forthcoming album.

Apache Beat Picking Up Steam

Apache Beat have been picking up steam, with recent features in Top Shop Magazine and Oyster Magazine. Their song “Tropics” is also currently in rotation on FADER’s East Village Radio and was also Roxy’s featured download of the week earlier this month.  Check out the NYLON TV feature on Apache Beat’s performance for NYLON and Top Shop’s Anniversary Party.

Top Shop Praises Apache Beat As NY Band You Must Know

Brooklyn’s Apache Beat are currently featured in the spring/summer issue of Top Shop Magazine as a part of their coverage on everything that makes New York cool.  Apache Beat’s sound, layered with tribal percussion and tropical flair, makes them a unique component of the thriving Brooklyn music scene.  Head over to FADER’s East Village Radio now to hear their single “Tropics”.

Apache Beat Plays Hex-Fest

This past weekend, IAMSOUND artists Apache Beat took part in Hex-Fest, a charity gig that featured more than twenty local New York bands. The event took place on Ludlow Street in Manhattan in an effort to raise funds for Invisible Children, a non-profit created to help children and families that have been affected by the wars of Northern Uganda. IAMSOUND Showcase at CMJ Tonight!

The IAMSOUND Records CMJ Party Showcase is tonight at Bowery Poetry Club, 308 Bowery (Between Houston & Bleeker).  This should be a great set, with the variety of innovative artists IAMSOUND is showcasing.  Telepathe kicks off the party with a DJ set and Fool’s Gold will be capping the night off with one of their exhilarating sets, come check it out!
