This month’s edition of The Cutting Edge has an extensive feature on Scorpion Child, including a brief history of the band, an in-depth interview, and a full review of their SXSW performances. After seeing the band play at SXSW, The Cutting Edge’s Todd K. Smith was immediately taken by their incredible live presence, noting that “Scorpion Child became the talk of the 2010 SXSW festival.”
The band’s heavy touring schedule over the past year earned them gigs during every day of SXSW this year, including slots both opening and closing out the festival. Be sure to check out this amazing article to learn a little more about Texas’ best new rock group.

Worlds End is proud to welcome Scorpion Child to our management roster. The Austin locals have been catching local buzz for the last few years for their powerful sound and modern, yet authentic take on psych-rock. Their influences consist of a broad range of artists spanning several decades including Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and The Cult.
Fresh off their spirited performances at SXSW 2010, Scorpion Child are currently wrapping up their debut album. We have new music, fresh out of the studio, and now available for master/sync licensing.

Scorpion Child will be appearing at SXSW next week, showing off their signature style of heavy, southern-infused rock. The band has been busy at work, prepping the follow up to their acclaimed EP Thy Southern Sting, which will take the power and fury of their sound to the next level. Scorpion Child has already shared the stage with Reverend Horton Heat, The Cult, …Trail Of Dead, Godsmack, and Cage The Elephant, to name a few.
The Texan hard rock veterans will be performing during the Worlds End showcase, which will take place on Wednesday, March 17th at 11:00PM at Encore. Be sure to add this one to your SXSW schedules, as it is sure to be a captivating and energetic performance.
