Worlds End Creative Licensing is pleased to be representing Apollo Run for film and TV licensing. Gathering extensive buzz in their native New York, Apollo Run’s blend of indie rock, souful pop, and driving melodies garners comparisons to Jeff Buckley and Tom Waits, and calls to mind contemporaries Beirut and Antony & the Johnsons. The band has a reputation for making magic happen at their live shows.

The band are on the David Letterman show this evening. Worlds End client “FRENCHIE” SMITH co-produced the album.
Fool’s Gold fever is spreading. First, the band received a glorious review from LA Times sparking from their performance at this past weekend’s Sunset Junction. “One of the day’s early highlights came from the sprawling dance machine Fool’s Gold, pictured, whose kinetic Afro-pop rhythms are reminiscent of the Talking Heads-circa “Remain in Light” and whose lyrics are sung in Hebrew. It’s easy to see why their profile has risen so far and so fast. Their engaging show and beat-crazy abilities can play to most any crowd.”
Adding to the fervor, Fool’s Gold is currently featured on Pitchfork. The band discusses their love of African music, the origin of their name, and their countless musical influences.
With Joey Stevens taking the role of guitarist as well as vocalist, and Itaru de la
Vega on the drums, the two brought Rumspringa to life, citing such
inspirations as Johnny Cash and John Lee Hooker. Traveling from Los Angeles
to Brooklyn, they had the opportunity to play their music for people with a
hankering for soulful rock. Signed to Cantora Records, the band was able to
make their music video “Minds Awake” a hit; it was even featured on the
queen of gossip Perez Hilton’s blog. They recently inked a deal with Worlds
End Management, hope you caught their set this last weekend at Sunset
Junction.
JET are appearing on the Late Show With David Letterman tomorrow (Tuesday, August 25th) to promote the release of their new album, ‘Shaka Rock’. The album was co-produced by “FRENCHIE” SMITH and hits stores tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th.
